Katerina Kanteraki, current student of the European Master in Management programme completed her internship as a Senior Analyst for Chappuis Halder, a French consulting organisation based in Singapore.
“I found my internship in a French consulting company in Singapore through EMLYON’s exclusive online job webpage. Working as a consultant in the financial sector in one of the biggest financial hubs of the world like Singapore speaks for itself. My internship was a truly rich experience in both a professional and a cultural respect. Consultancy - even more so when practiced in Asia - notably stretched my personal & professional limits and enriched my professional skill set. My experience showed me what best-in class is and enabled me to benchmark myself with the best. Also the multicultural working environment gave me genuine cultural awareness.”
Katerina is currently in the last stage of her studies, completing her master thesis with the non-profit joint venture (NGO) Social Entrepreneurship Akademie.
"My participation at the World Entrepreneurship Forum, co-founded by EMLYON and LMU, Munich School of Management helped me secure a working thesis with Social Entrepreneurship Akademie (SEA). As a result my thesis is supported and funded by the SEA and most importantly, it is directly related to real societal and business problems."
Katherina explains the benefit of the programme's triple European perspective:
"The programme has been instrumental to my career achievements since I enrolled in 2012. Coming from the capital of Greece, Athens - for many the heart of the economic crisis in the EU - I would have never imagined having direct access to the job markets of three of the most powerful countries of the EU: France, Germany and the UK. From this respect, the triple degree, triple University aspect of the programme is truly unique! "
"My internship was a great experience as I learnt a lot in terms of not only hard skills-financial techniques & know-how, but also soft skills- P.I.E models & general management. I believe I was very lucky because of the responsibility I was given and it is undoubtedly my best work experience so far. I would like to thank EMM Careers Services for this internship opportunity, who kept encouraging & advising me.“
Wu Shikai - EMM graduate - Corporate Finance Analyst at Devoteam, Paris
“I had a standing offer from Société Générale for a 5‐month internship in Frankfurt, and Goldman Sachs contacted me for a full time analyst position in London. I then joined JP Morgan.”
Alina Vitan, Romanian, 2012 graduate, Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company
“I did my internship at the Boston Consulting Group in Budapest and I was a consulting intern for five months. It was one of the best experiences of my life as it was very challenging. I met a lot of interesting people and I managed to get a first job there.” - Tamás Lupkovics, Hungarian graduate and Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, Budapest, Hungary
